Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has claimed that "relationships have been recovering" between players in El Clasico.

In the past, matches between Barcelona and Real Madrid brought a host of clashes between both sets of players.

While there is still tension, Pique has said that the relationship between the two teams is much better than it once was.

"Relationships have been recovering. They are not fake, or gestures for the camera," Pique told El Larguero.

Pique's comments echo those of Barca teammate Andres Iniesta, who spoke on the subject immediately after Sunday's clash at Camp Nou, which the home side won 2-1.
