James Rodriguez has admitted that it will be a challenge to be successful at a "unique" club like Real Madrid.
The Colombian moved to the club from Monaco in a £65m deal earlier this summer, and he has joined a number of his teammates in targeting a successful defence of the Champions League.
"I think it's something great to win the Champions League with Madrid, it's something special to be at a club that wants to win something and I hope we can win it again," Rodriguez told reporters.
"It's a club from another world, unique. To be alongside great stars is something really special. I hope I can get better, bit by bit."
Carlo Ancelotti's side started their La Liga campaign by beating Cordoba 2-0 on Monday night.
