Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that his teammates are key to giving him the confidence to play at such a high level.
The Portuguese stared for the La Liga leaders last night in the club's 6-1 thrashing of Schalke 04 in the Champions League, scoring two goals.
"I believe that we played a good game and the other side were not at their best because we didn't let them," Ronaldo told reporters following the game at the Veltins-Arena.
"We scored six fundamental goals and we are just one step away from the next stage and we are happy. In general the side were good, from Casillas and the defence to the midfield. Us forwards do our work of always trying to score goals.
"I believe in myself and my ability and my teammates help me a lot and they give me the confidence to play at such a high level. I scored twice in the second half so I'm very happy."
The second leg takes place on March 18.
