Sergio Ramos has admitted that he was disappointed by Real Madrid's 0-0 draw in their Primera Liga opener at newly-promoted Sporting Gijon on Sunday.
Coach Rafael Benitez failed to kick-start his tenure with a victory as Los Blancos - who registered 27 shots - were made to settle for a point.
"It's not a matter of taking many conclusions yet. It is clear that the first half was not good enough, but in the second half we showed more initiative," Ramos told Canal+.
"We wish we won three points. Everything that is not a win is not good."
Barcelona, who pipped their Clasico rivals to the title by two points last season, opened the defence of their crown with a 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao earlier in the day.
