Celta will be missing their joint-leading goalscorer for the 2024-25 campaign against Real Madrid on Saturday evening, with the experienced Iago Aspas unavailable for selection through suspension.
Aspas, 37, has made an impressive start to the season, scoring four goals in nine appearances, but the forward was sent off in Celta's 1-0 win over Las Palmas before the international break.
The Sky Blues will be missing two players through suspension against the champions, as Ilaix Moriba was also handed a red card against Las Palmas, while Luca de la Torre and Jailson are both still injured.
Celta's medical department will need to make a check on the fitness of Jonathan Bamba, while Carl Starfelt picked up a slight hamstring issue last time out and will also need to be assessed.
Pablo Duran and Franco Cervi could be the players to benefit from the absences of Aspas and Moriba, but it might otherwise be the same side that took to the field for the first whistle last time out.
Borja Iglesias has been in strong form for Claudio Giraldez's side this season, scoring four times in Spain's top flight, and the Spaniard will again feature in the final third of the field on Saturday night.
There should also be another start at the back for ex-Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso, while Fran Beltran is set to retain his spot in the middle of the park for the home side.
Celta Vigo possible starting lineup: Guaita; Manquillo, Starfelt, Alonso; Mingueza, Beltran, Cervi, Alvarez; Duran, Iglesias, Swedberg
