Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told the club that he will not look to extend his contract.
The 22-year-old is now entering the final year of his current deal and if no agreement is reached for an extension before January, then he will be eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements with other European clubs and leave for free in the summer of 2022.
According to L'Equipe, Mbappe is considering walking away from PSG, as he is not currently satisfied with his situation in the French capital.
The forward is reluctant to agree a new deal at present, although the PSG hierarchy have been altered that his stance still could change in the coming months.
Ensuring Mbappe remains with the Ligue 1 outfit remains a priority for club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is understood to have taken personal charge of contract negotiations.
Mbappe, who has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, scored 42 goals and provided 11 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for PSG during the 2020-21 campaign. body check tags ::
