New York Red Bulls thrashed Chicago Fire 5-2 in the MLS today, as the New York side finished top of the East Conference table on the final day of the regular season.
The away side took a surprise lead in the sixth minute through Mike Magee, but the Bulls soon responded with Thierry Henry who grabbed an equaliser in the 24th minute.
The Bulls took the lead in the second half through Ibrahim Sekagya, which was then increased further by Lloyd Sam in the 56th minute.
The home side added a gloss to the victory through Eric Alexander and Jonathan Steele, before Quincy Amarikwa added a late consolation for the Fire in the 90th minute of the game.
