A dominant Roma side have put two past Udinese without reply to give themselves a comfortable half-time lead in the Serie A match in the Italian capital.
The hosts took just five minutes to break the deadlock as Maicon played the ball across the area to Miralem Pjanic, who side-footed home from 10 yards.
Roma had the chance to double their lead two minutes later when Edin Dzeko was picked out by Radja Nainggolan in the danger zone and let fly, forcing Orestis Karnezis into a save.
They did not have to wait long for their second as Maicon was picked out by Dzeko in the 10th minute and the Brazilian beat Karnezis at his near post, tucking a shot into the bottom corner.
A free kick from Marquinho that flew over the bar in the 11th minute was as close as Udinese came in a one-sided first half - and things could have been even worse for the visitors.
Alessandro Florenzi had the chance to put Roma out of sight just after the half-hour mark as he raced clean through for a one-on-one with Karnezis, only to blast his effort into the stands.
