Roma forward Gervinho has declared that he is enjoying a reunion with Rudi Garcia in the Italian capital following the Giallorossi's fine start to the season.
Gervinho has featured in all four of Roma's game so far this season, after making a £7m switch from Arsenal, resuming a relationship with Garcia that blossomed at French side Lille.
The Ivorian played his part as Roma continued their 100% start with a 2-0 win over city rivals Lazio last weekend, starting in his favoured position out wide.
Just over a month into the new Serie A campaign Gervinho has revealed that his bond with Garcia is stronger than Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, but stopped short of criticising his former coach.
He told RMC: "It's an important game for the city. All the fans were talking about it for some time. And some of the players were saying before the match that we could not lose.
"Garcia and I know each other very well. I was happy at Arsenal but now I am happy to be here in Rome.
"I had a good relationship with Wenger, but it is better with Garcia."
The 26-year-old spent two seasons at the Emirates, scoring 11 goals in 63 appearances.
