Roma defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has admitted that it was crucial that his team kept a clean sheet in their match against Sampdoria on Saturday.
The Giallorossi had suffered a 7-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek, but responded by earning a goalless draw at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
"Right result? We got a point. I think the most important thing was that we did not concede," Yanga-Mbiwa, who is on loan from Newcastle United, told Roma TV. "In the end it was a good result, we will move forward.
He added: "How do I like Roma? It is a great squad, a great city and great fans. We must continue on like this."
Roma are currently second in the Serie A table, three points adrift of Juventus.
