A report claims that Espanyol want to sign Santos midfielder Pedro Castro.

Espanyol are reportedly hopeful of signing highly-rated Santos midfielder Pedro Castro.

The 20-year-old has only recently signed a new long-term deal with the Brazilian club, but it is believed that he is keen on a move to La Liga.

According to reports in Spain, Espanyol will move for the attacker on loan before securing his services on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Castro, who has previously been linked with a number of European clubs, is close friends with Barcelona and Brazil forward Neymar, who also previously played for Santos.
