Seattle Sounders have comfortably defeated Portland Timbers 3-0 at home in the MLS.
The hosts opened the scoring after 25 minutes when Futty Danso turned in Adam Johansson's cross from the right flank into his own goal.
It became 2-0 to Seattle at the CenturyLink Field three minutes later, as Eddie Johnson shot home Brad Evans's pass with precision from inside the Portland penalty box.
Fredy Montero completed the scoring for the hosts in the 62nd minute.
Johnson found Montero in front of the Portland goal with a headed pass from a throw-in, and after watching his initial attempt saved by Donovan Ricketts, the 25-year-old made no mistake in finding the target from the rebound.
