South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-yeung has been ruled out of his side's final Group F game against Germany on Wednesday.
Shin Tae-yong's side, whose defeat to Mexico on Saturday was their second in two matches, could progress to the last 16 if they defeat the world champions and Mexico beat Sweden.
Former Swansea City midfielder Ki will be absent from the final group game, however, after picking up a calf injury in Saturday's defeat.
"A medical inspection at a hospital showed that Ki damaged his left calf muscle," a national team official told Yonhap News. "He needs two weeks of treatment."
Ki has scored 10 goals in 99 games for his country since making his debut in 2008.
