The League Two game between Bristol Rovers and Southend United has finished goalless at the Memorial Stadium.
After a subdued start to the game, the away side came close in the fifth minute as John White beat Steven Gillespie on the wing and drove the ball across goal, before Tom Parkes managed to clear.
Just a minute later, Gillespie's cross almost caught out Daniel Bentley in the United goal.
In the 13th minute, Parkes headed over from close range, the best chance of the half until about the half-hour mark, when Ryan Leonard unleashed a shot from 30 yards that was just off target.
Just five minutes later, Bentley produced a skilful reaction save to deny John-Joe O'Toole from a corner kick, while Chris Beardsley forced another Pirates corner with just three minutes to go in the half.
In the 53rd minute, Steve Mildenhall was forced to tip Michael Timlin's effort around the post, the subsequent corner failing to find anyone to convert the set piece.
Midway through the second half, Bristol Rovers floated a dangerous corner to the back post, but the header went wide of Bentley's goal, while in the 75th minute, Leonard's cross found Lee Barnard, but he could only knee it straight towards Mildenhall.
The final stages of the match saw both teams up the tempo, with chances from O'Toole for Rovers and Jamar Loza for the Shrimpers, but the game ended in a stalemate, both teams having to make do with a point each.
