Sporting Kansas City have missed the chance to go level on points with New York Red Bulls in the Eastern Conference by being held to a 1-1 draw at home to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Aurelien Collin broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, finding the bottom-left corner of Brad Knighton's net.
Peter Vermes's men looked to be heading into half time with the lead but Camilo Sanvezzo struck just before the whistle to buoy the visitors.
Kei Kamara wasted two glorious chances for the hosts in the second half, while some last-ditch defending prevented Sanvezzo from notching his second of the night.
In the end, neither team was able to find a winner, leaving Kansas two points off the second-placed Red Bulls.
Meanwhile, Vancouver have edged one point ahead of Los Angeles Galaxy in the Western Conference.
