New England Revolution have been held to a 0-0 draw by Sporting Kansas City at the Gillette Stadium in the MLS this evening.
In a game of few chances, the best opening of the first half fell to the home side when C.J. Sapong reacted the quickest to a long throw, but his effort could only find the woodwork after 20 minutes.
The Revolution had plenty of set pieces with Lee Nguyen guilty of being largely wasteful with his deliveries, but Juan Toja went close with his free kick on 77 minutes.
In the end, neither side were able to force the breakthrough in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
