Premier League side Norwich City will reportedly have to part with £12m to tempt Sporting Lisbon into selling Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
Norwich manager Chris Hughton confirmed yesterday evening that he was keen to bring the Dutch striker to Carrow Road before Thursday's 11pm deadline.
Prior to Hughton's revelation, it had been reported that the Canaries had seen a £7m offer rejected by Sporting for the 23-year-old.
Following that bid, Norwich were informed that it would cost them £12m to land the centre-forward, according to reports in Portugal.
It has since been claimed that Norwich will not match that asking price and will instead now turn their attention to signing Danny Graham from Swansea City.
