Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Inter Milan 3-0 in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie at White Hart Lane.
Goals from Gareth Bale, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen saw Spurs cruise to a comfortable victory over the Italians.
The hosts took the lead with five minutes on the clock as Bale evaded Esteban Cambiasso to head in Sigurdsson's cross.
However, the Welsh winger was booked for diving on 14 minutes when he went down in the opposition penalty area - a punishment that will see him miss the second leg of the contest in Italy.
Spurs continued to pour forward in attack and they doubled their advantage in the 18th minute through Sigurdsson when he converted the rebound after Jermain Defoe's initial effort had been saved.
The home side extended their advantage seven minutes into the second half thanks to Vertonghen's free header from a Bale corner.
