Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been ruled out of Wednesday's clash with Newcastle United in the League Cup quarter-finals.
The Togo international was granted leave of absence by the club last week due to "personal reasons".
Despite returning to training on Monday, the 30-year-old will not be part of the squad to face Newcastle at White Hart Lane tomorrow night.
"He will not be considered for tomorrow," coach Mauricio Pochettino is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "He only started again yesterday to train and after one week away it is impossible to be ready to play tomorrow."
Adebayor has scored two goals in 12 games for Spurs this season.
