Jermain Defoe has praised his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Andros Townsend following the youngster's call-up to the England national team.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been included in Roy Hodgson's squad for the second time ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
"It's great for Andros to be involved again," Defoe, who is also in the 23-man party, told Tottenham's official website.
"He's been outstanding and for a young player to come into the team and have that consistency, staying in the team and playing like he did against teams like Chelsea, that's fantastic."
England welcome Montenegro to Wembley Stadium on Friday before facing Poland four days later.
