Harry Redknapp has heaped praise on Ledley King after the defender helped Tottenham beat Wolves 2-0 on Saturday.
It was Spurs' first clean sheet of the Premier League season and King's first appearance since last term.
The 30-year-old defender has had a history of knee problems and is continuing his comeback after more knee surgery during the summer.
"Ledley is an amazing player. He only ever trains for a few minutes the day before a game," said Redknapp.
"It will take all week now for his knee to go down and then we will try and get him on the park next Sunday but he is one of the best centre-halves you will ever see.
"He is different class, he gives an air of confidence, he knows what he is doing."
King endured an injury plagued season last year and made only nine appearances for Tottenham.
