Stoke City have confirmed that Ibrahim Afellay's suspension has been reduced from three games to two.
The Dutch midfielder was sent off following a clash with Craig Gardner in Saturday's home match against West Bromwich Albion.
Afellay was expected to miss Stoke's next three games, but the Potters appealed the initial three-game ban and this has been upheld by the Football Association.
His teammate Charlie Adam, who was also sent off against West Brom, must serve a three-match ban.
Afellay will miss the game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on September 12 and the home clash against Leicester City a week later.
