Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has reiterated that he wants to keep Peter Crouch at the club.
The 33-year-old has been in impressive form of late for the Potters after scoring in their last two games against Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United.
"He is playing exceptionally well and in my opinion he is playing the role we are asking him to as well as anybody in the league," Hughes said in this afternoon's press conference.
"He is enjoying the football, and it is documented that he is happy with his role in the team. Maybe he has been neglected a little bit in previous years, but we have pace around him now and that suits him.
"He is somebody we would like to keep here. There will be discussions with him in the near future, I am sure of that."
Crouch was previously linked with a move to QPR to reunite with former manager Harry Redknapp.
