Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has insisted that he wants to help the club "make history" before the end of the season.
The Potters are currently 10th in the Premier League table with seven games left to play.
"We want to break records this year," Hughes told reporters. "There are points tallies that we can break, our highest league finish, most home wins and most away wins.
"People may have thought we would struggle in terms of being able to compete this season, but that hasn't been the case and we are now in a position where we can make some history."
Stoke will reach 40 points if they overcome Hull City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
