Stoke City winger Peter Odemwingie has revealed that he is helping Bojan Krkic overcome his serious knee injury.
The Spaniard ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments in January and made his first-team return against Brentford today, while Odemwingie is back fit after suffering the same injury last year.
He told reporters: "It [the recovery] was fast for him. It took Marco van Ginkel a year and around the same for me but we encourage each other.
"I looked at Marc Muniesa after his injury and that helped me and now Bojan looks at me and sees how I have changed over the months and I am sure that encourages him. I'm sure it's not easy but he can see the end results are good.
"He has got over the mental barrier and when he is completely better he will help the team a lot. Every training session and game is a risk. The quicker you face the enemy the easier it gets so I told Bojan it will be good."
Bojan joined from Barcelona last year.
