Ryan Shawcross has said that he is "happy" after playing his 200th Premier League match for Stoke City this weekend.
The captain reached the landmark during yesterday's 1-0 win over Newcastle United, which leaves the team 10th in the table.
The 26-year-old told the club's official website: "It's a just a number really. It was just another game and one that we needed to win and that was my only focus.
"It's something that I'll look back on maybe at the end of my career. I have always wanted to play at Premier League level and I've been lucky enough to play 200 times now so I am happy with that."
Shawcross initially joined the team on loan in 2007 before making the move permanent ahead of the 2008-09 season.
