Stoke City's indifferent start to the Premier League season continued this afternoon with a 3-2 loss at home to Queens Park Rangers.
All looked to being going well for the home side when Jonathan Walters put them in front after seven minutes following a pass from strike partner Peter Crouch.
However, goals from Heidar Helguson and Luke Young put Neil Warnock's QPR 2-1 up heading into the break.
That lead was extended further in the 54th minute when Helguson headed in his second of the match from Alejandro Faurlin's cross.
The Potters responded in the 64th minute when Ryan Shawcross turned in a header by Crouch from close range.
His goal would prove to be little more than consolation though, as visiting QPR held out to take maximum points at the Britannia Stadium.
