Stoke City have allowed out-of-favour winger Michael Kightly to join Championship outfit Burnley on a season-long loan.
The 27-year-old, who moved to the Britannia Stadium from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, had not featured under new Potters manager Mark Hughes this season.
Marko Arnautovic's £2m arrival from Werder Bremen on transfer deadline day is likely to restrict Kightly's first-team chances even further, as the Austrian forward can also play on the flanks.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche signed Kightly on loan while he was in charge at Watford, and has linked up with the former England Under-21 international again at Turf Moor.
Bolton Wanderers were also thought to be interested in Kightly before he signed for the Clarets.
