Live text commentary from the Bundesliga as Stuttgart hosted Nuremberg and drew 1-1.

Stuttgart hosted Nuremberg in the Bundesliga looking to maintain their unbeaten run, while the visitors were hoping for their first win of the season.

It was the perfect start for the hosts as they took the lead in the third minute through a Vedad Ibisevic penalty, however the away side pulled level with a neat Josip Drmic finish.

Both sides created chances with Stuttgart having the better of it, but Martin Harnik was particularly wasteful and the hosts had to settle for a draw.

Read how the action unfolded below.

Hello Bundesliga fans. The new weekend of action starts right here and we have what should be a cracker for you - Stuttgart against Nuremberg.
We have a team on the up since a disastrous start in Stuttgart, against Nuremberg who are yet to win this season. All signs then point to a home win, but that's the joy of this league - you just never know!
The teams are in, so I'll get those right over to you.
STUTTGART XI: Ulreich; Schwaab, Haggui, Niedermeier, Boka; Kvist, Gentner; Harnik, Traore, Maxim; Ibisevic
NUREMBERG XI: Schafer; Chandler, Nilsson, Pogatetz, Plattenhardt; Stark, Hasebe; Mak, Kiyotake, Drmic; Hlousek
It's a really strong attack from the hosts and it's difficult to see how Nuremberg can shut them out tonight. Vedad Ibisevic is a bull up top, Alexandru Maxim is so creative - in my opinion the most promising Romanian player - and there is pace too with Ibrahima Traore and Martin Harnik.
For Nuremberg, they will be looking to Hiroshi Kiyotake for the creativity. On his day not many sides will be able to stop him, but he has not been on his day too often so far this season. Looking at the lineups, I think Stuttgart will take this 3-1.
The odds for the match would tend to back up my prediction. The best odds for the hosts will be 4/6, while you can get 4/1 for the visitors. Stuttgart have been free-scoring of late, so whatever happens I expect goals.
KICKOFF: We're underway tonight then, let's get this going!
GOAL! Stuttgart 1-0 Nuremberg (Vedad Ibisevic pen)
Well that didn't take long! Stuttgart are awarded an early penalty from almost there first attack and Ibisevic steps up to slam it high into the roof of the net!
GOAL! Stuttgart 1-1 Nuremberg (Drmic)
What a ridiculous start here! From their very first attack Nuremberg are level and it's Drmic. The forward beat the offside trap and finished well with the outside of his boot, with his effort going in via both posts. This is an incredible start.
Nuremberg have really been boosted by that goal and Stuttgart are shellshocked. Stuttgart have yet to be beaten at home when they have taken the lead this season, but they are in a real game here as Nuremberg pass it around neatly.
They now have a free kick wide on the right for a foul, which is swung in by Stark and nodded wide by Plattenhardt. At the other end Ibisevic is played in one-on-one with Schafer, but the keeper wins the duel by making himself big to block the shot.
Another free kick slightly closer to goal for Nuremberg, but this one as wasted as it doesn't even get beyond the first man. Nuremberg are doing most of the pressing, yet it should be Stuttgart who lead with that chance a few minutes ago.
Bit of a worry for the hosts here as Maxim is limping off for treatment. He has been key for them over the last few games, but he's keen to carry on and is trying to alert the referee. Stuttgart are getting back into the game a little now with their passing.
Better from Stuttgart as Kvist finds Harnik down the right, but Pogatetz is there and comes across to concede the throw. Boka launches the ball into the box for Traore to flick on, but it's hacked clear and Stuttgart start again from the back.
OFF THE POST! I think that's an attempted cross from Traore - otherwise it's an incredibly ambitious shot from wide on the right. Either way it has beaten Schafer but dips just against the post and back into play.
BOOKING: Maxim goes into the book as he jumped into an aerial duel with Plattenhardt, but ended up elbowing his counterpart in the head. Nothin malicious about that, but it was clumsy and he's rightly booked.
Excellent delivery from a corner from Maxim, who gets it right into the danger area but no-one gets a touch. In the end Ibisevic tries an overhead kick from the corner of the six-yard box but puts it on to the roof of the net.
GOAL DISALLOWED Maxim has the ball in the net and has his hands on his head after it was ruled out, but in fairness he was only the five yards offside. Neat finish off the post after Ibisevic's flick, but correct decision.
What a ball from Harnik! He's set away down the right and puts it right on to the edge of the six-yard box, but neither the central Ibisevic nor MAxim, who was attacking the far post, could quite turn it in.
Boka is caught out there as he loses out to Drmic, but the ball is cut across goal and leads to nothing in the end. Nuremberg are enjoying a spell of pressure, their first for a while, but in the end Plattenhardt's touch on the left takes it out of play.
That's livened the crowd up again! Stark has eyes only for the ball and ends up taking out the referee. He's up without the need for a physio, however. Meanwhile at the other end Kvist has an effort from the edge of the box from a Harnik low cross but puts it wide.
SAVE! Ulreich, back in the team is really tested there by Plattenhardt. It's an excellent strike but the keeper got a strong arm up to tip it over the bar.
Nuremberg are finishing the half strongly, with Stuttgart getting very scrappy. Will either side manage to create that one big chance needed to get ahead before the break?
Mak is well tracked by Boka and Gentner, which forces him back. Stuttgart look to break through Maxim but he is brought down as a minute of time is indicated.
CHANCE! What a chance right before the break! MAxim swings in a cross, which Harnik meets unmarked but he somehow puts it wide! What a miss!
HALF-TIME: Stuttgart 1-1 Nuremberg
An excellent first half comes to an end, and Stuttgart will be kicking themselves that they haven't gone into the break ahead. Aside from the goals they have had by far the two better chances, but did not put them away.
It was a frantic opening to the game in which Ibisevic scored a penalty and that was quickly cancelled out by Drmic with a fine finish. Then Harnik had two excellent chances - one saved by Schafer and the second a header he somehow put wide.
There are definitely more goals in this one. They look most likely to come for the hosts, but given how quickly they were opened up for the equaliser you cannot rule out Nuremberg here. They have looked threatening from set pieces, too.
KICKOFF: Nuremberg get us underway for the second half.
Drmic is lazy there. Hasebe played him in down the right but he wasn't looking at the defensive line and was caught offside.
MISS! Good start to the half for Stuttgart, after some early passing by the visitors. Harnik wins a corner on the right, which Maxim takes but Gentner this time wins the header and also puts it wide!
Ulreich does well to hold on to the ball there. Hasebe sees his cross deflected back to him so he goes for goal, but the keeper is down well go cling on low.
Boka is down here after being tripped by Chandler, but he's writhing around and there wasn't a lot of contact. The theatrics don't get the right-back booked, which is the right decision.
A few scrappy fouls just now as both sides look to take control of the second half. Really it's not had much of a flow as yet and there has been just the one chance, which was that Gentner header.
BOOKING: There is finally a booking, but it goes to Drmic as he fouled Boka. Maxim can swing this over from a dangerous position, but Ibisevic's diving header goes wide of the near post - what a ball in.
BOOKING: Stuttgart are starting to control this now and most of their play is going through Maxim. He turns on the pace down the right flank to get in a cross, but Nilsson clears with a flying header. Boka is then booked for fouling Drmic. There's a real battle between that pair.
STUTTGART SUB: On comes the teenager Timo Werner for the hosts, with Traore making way. The winger was largely ineffective and that's a good sub in my opinion.
Lovely little turn there from MAxim, who used both feet to flick the ball past his marker, however his cross from deep in the general direction of Werner is out for a goal kick. One goal could well win this one for whichever team.
STUTTGART SUB: Boka, who is a walking red card now, comes off for Konstantin Rausch. It's a like-for-like change but the German loves to bomb forward and is trying to get himself into the starting XI.
NUREMBERG SUB: Daniel Ginczek is on for Mak, as Maxim swings in another fine delivery and Schafer makes a brilliant save from Harnik's header, but the Austrian was offside.
CHANCE! Immediate chance for the new man as he finds himself onside, but his effort is just touched wide by Ulreich. The keeper is worked again from the corner as Hasebe fires from range but that was straight at him and he pushes clear. Stuttgart living dangerously.
It's well-poised for a frantic finish here. Both sides have certainly had chances to win, although Stuttgart have had more. The hosts are now back on top of the possession, but Rausch's cross goes into the arms of Schafer.
NUREMBERG SUB: Markus Feulner on for goalscorer Drmic as the away side look to shuffle their pack slightly.
NUREMBERG SUB: Stark has done a lot of running tonight and he now makes way for Mike Frantz.
Good driving run from Kiyotake, who lays left to Plattenhardt, but his cross - although dangerous - is cleared by Rausch. Ulreich was scrambling a bit, but there was no attacker there trying to turn it in.
Feulner latches on to a ball into the box, but it just didn't fall kindly for him. He does well to cross and finds Ginczek, but his shot on the turn goes into the side netting only. Nuremberg are finishing strongly here.
STUTTGART SUB: Sercan Sararer comes on for Harnik. Alate injection of pace down the right flank.
Stuttgart are still patient despite the fact that they have just two minutes to find the winner. I don't think it will happen for either team and this one is heading for a draw. Incidentally, it would be the visitors' seventh from nine.
There will be three minutes of time added on for either side to find a winner. The ball is on the Stuttgart right, with Maxim readying to take a free kick.
CLOSE! It just won't go n. Pogatetz with some last-ditch defending almost on his goalline to deny Maxim a tap-in.
FULL-TIME: Stuttgart 1-1 Nuremberg
So no more goals in the second half and it's yet another draw for Nuremberg. The Bundesliga weekend has started with an excellent game that the others must live up to. Thanks for joining me here, that's all for now - goodnight.
