Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner has taken to Twitter to thank the away supporters at this afternoon's FA Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers.
The visitors trailed 2-0 at the Reebok but fought back to earn a replay and keep their hopes of a cup run alive.
Conor Wickham reduced the deficit before Gardner restored parity with a drive from distance late on.
Gardner decided to use social media to send a message to the travelling Mackems faithful.
He tweeted: "Just want to give a massive shout out to the fans today, 5,000 of you never stopped singing, unbelievable. We're still in the hat."
Martin O'Neill's men will join Bolton in the fourth-round draw, which takes place tomorrow afternoon.
