Sunderland defender Titus Bramble has been released on bail following his arrest for alleged sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug.
The centre-back was arrested in the Yarm area in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
"A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug," said a Cleveland Police spokeswoman at the time.
Bramble last featured for the Black Cats in their 2-1 defeat to Norwich City on Monday evening.
