Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher is delighted with the way his side have started the new Premier League season.
The Black Cats drew for the second game in a row as they earned a point in their clash with Manchester United at the Stadium of Light, with Jack Rodwell cancelling out a Juan Mata strike.
"We're absolutely delighted with the start we've had," Fletcher told the club's official website. "Two points from the first two games is great.
"The point against United is a good result, especially after we went a goal behind and it's a good show of character to come back from that, just like we did when we fell behind at West Brom last week. They're both two very good results for us."
Gus Poyet's men face Birmingham City in the Capital One Cup in their next match on Wednesday.
