Sports Mole previews the upcoming Premier League clash between Sunderland and QPR at the Stadium of Light.

Queens Park Rangers have the chance to end their woeful away record in the Premier League on Tuesday when they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The R's, who remain managerless following Harry Redknapp's shock departure last week, have lost all 11 of their games on the road so far this season.

With Chris Ramsey in caretaker charge, QPR currently sit in 19th place in the table due to a run of four consecutive defeats.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood continues to be linked with the vacancy at Loftus Road, and Ramsey recently revealed that he had spoken with Sherwood about the role.

In contrast to QPR's struggles near the foot of the standings, Sunderland have shown signs of improvement in the past couple of weeks by taking four points from a possible six.

The 14th-placed Black Cats drew 1-1 with Swansea City last time out as Jermain Defoe's first-half strike was cancelled out by Ki Sung-yeung.

The reverse fixture between these sides back in August saw QPR earn their first win of the season with a 1-0 triumph at Loftus Road.

Will Buckley, Billy Jones and Emanuele Giaccherini are all facing late fitness tests for the hosts, who are likely to have Adam Johnson back in the starting XI following a thumb injury. Connor Wickham and Jack Rodwell are also in contention.

QPR will be without top scorer Charlie Austin, Richard Dunne and Nedum Onuoha, while Sandro also remains sidelined. Rio Ferdinand, Bobby Zamora and Mauro Zarate could all return to the starting lineup.

Sunderland:

Form in Premier League: DLLLWD
Form in all competitions: LLDWWD

Possible starting lineup: Pantilimon; Reveillere, O'Shea, Vergini, Van Aanholt; Bridcutt, Larsson, Gomez; Alvarez, Johnson, Defoe

QPR:

Form in Premier League: DDLLLL
Form in all competitions: DLLLLL

Possible starting lineup: Green; Traore, Ferdinand, Caulker, Hill; Phillips, Barton, Fer, Kranjcar; Zarate, Taarabt

Sports Mole says: 2-1
