Emanuele Giaccherini has insisted that he will not leave Sunderland during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Recent reports had linked the Italian international with a return to his former club Juventus, whom he left during the summer.
However, despite the fact that the Black Cats are struggling, the 28-year-old has said that he will remain at the Stadium of Light until at least the summer.
"I feel good in England, even if things could go better," he told Radio DeeJay. "We will see in May what will happen, but for the moment the most important thing is getting safety.
Giaccherini has made 17 Premier League appearances this season.
