Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has admitted that he is interested in signing Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies.
O'Neill made an approach for the 34-year-old earlier this week but found his advances rebuffed by Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.
However, O'Neill has confirmed that he may make another approach tomorrow.
"I did make an enquiry and Owen would obviously want to try to keep him," said O'Neill.
"I may well follow that up tomorrow morning."
O'Neill was talking after his side's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough this afternoon.
