Sunderland are in talks to sign Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila, according to a report.
The Frenchman joined the Russian club from Rennes in 2013, but was then loaned out to Inter Milan last season, although his spell was brought to an end in January when the Serie A side terminated the deal.
The Black Cats have been in the market for a midfielder this summer, and have begun talks with Rubin Kazan in an attempt to secure a move for the 25-year-old, reports French media outlet L'Equipe.
M'Vila has made 22 appearances for France after making his debut in 2010.
