Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that his club has made no offers for Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew.
Recent speculation claimed that the Black Cats had offered their Premier League counterparts a transfer fee and Fabio Borini in exchange for the Ghanaian.
However, Allardyce told reporters this morning that the rumour had been created by the media.
"There's been no contact between us and Swansea. We haven't made an offer to Swansea," he said.
"I'm not certain Swansea would want to sell him, so I think that's a little bit of speculation on media behalf. I can't say any more than that because he's a Swansea player."
Twenty-six-year-old Ayew joined the Swans from Marseille in the summer and he has gone on to score eight goals in all competitions.
