Sunderland are close to signing Derry City winger James McClean after having an undisclosed bid accepted for the player.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a number of English this summer but it appears that the Black Cats have pipped their rivals in acquiring the player.
The midfielder is expected in Wearside next week for talks and a medical.
McClean, who scored six goals in 16 appearances last season, was called up to the Northern Ireland squad for a Euro 2012 qualifier against the Faroe Islands.
