Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer has declared that his side are ready to face Chelsea in their Premier League opener.
The Swans ended their pre-season campaign with a 0-0 draw against Deportivo La Coruna, and Dyer believes that his team's performances throughout the summer have given them the belief that they can make an impact against the champions.
He told the club's official website: "We are going into the new season in good stead. Our fitness is looking good, the new players have gelled in well and we are looking forward to the game against Chelsea.
"Playing against foreign teams is always good for us and Chelsea are a side that will keep the ball well, so hopefully this game will keep us sharp.
"There's a lot of competition for places and everyone is looking to put their mark on the team. We've got a big squad this year and it brings out the best in players."
Garry Monk's men face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Saturday.
