Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis has admitted that he was always confident that he would find the net for the club.
The Frenchman scored his first goal for the Swans since his move to the club in the summer when he fired in the winner in their 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium.
"It meant a lot to me," Gomis told the club's official website. "The team were trailing a bit and it was my first goal in the Premier League. It was very important for me and the team.
"I knew the goal was coming. I've been working very hard with my teammates and I've stayed concentrated so I knew it was not far away.
"It is my job to score goals and hopefully this will be the first of many. But the most important thing is the team and that I work well with the team."
Garry Monk's side are fifth in the Premier League following their win over the Gunners.
