Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has claimed that Wayne Routledge's recent form is deserving of an England call-up.
The winger scored a brace on Thursday evening as the Swans cruised to a 5-0 victory over Petrolul Ploiesti in the Europa League.
Laudrup believes that Routledge could force his way into the plans of England manager Roy Hodgson if he continues to perform.
"If you play well you always have a chance of being picked for the national side," Clubcall.com quotes Laudrup as saying.
"I have been asked before about Wayne and any manager would want as many of their players in the national team as possible as it is an honour for clubs like us. But I will leave it up to Roy Hodgson."
Routledge joined Swansea from Queens Park Rangers in 2011.
