Swansea City manager Garry Monk believes that Jonjo Shelvey's return to the England side will help him improve all aspects of his game.
The midfielder was included in Roy Hodgson's squad for next week's Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia.
The 22-year-old only has one senior cap to his name, which came against San Marino two years ago.
"It's excellent news for both the player and the club," Monk said in this afternoon's press conference. "We have a lot of international players in the squad, but we have talked a lot about England in recent weeks and the last couple of seasons.
"We've worked very hard with Jonjo, both in terms of his contribution on and off the pitch. He has made big improvements and this will give him a massive boost going forward."
Shelvey joined the Swans from Liverpool last year.
