Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers believes that his side outplayed Newcastle United, despite the Welsh club's 2-0 defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
Despite controlling much of the possession throughout the match, the Swans were unable to make a breakthrough in front of goal.
They were made to pay for their lack of finishing as Papiss Cisse scored twice to inflict a third straight defeat on City.
"Newcastle have done very well this season, but I thought we totally outplayed them today," Rodgers told Sky Sports News. "The only thing we couldn't do was put the ball in the net and the only difference was the quality.
"It stuns you when the game develops like that. We had enough shots on target but couldn't make the breakthrough. I couldn't have any complaints on the performance level."
Swansea remain 11th in the Premier League table following the loss.
