Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal admits that he was happy to walk away with a point from his side's trip to Leicester City.

Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has admitted that he was happy to walk away with a point following his side's 1-1 draw at Leicester City this afternoon.

The hosts were in the lead with less than 20 minutes on the clock through Jamie Vardy but the Welsh side found themselves back level early in the second half through a Federico Fernandez header.

The result left Carvalhal's side 17th in the Premier League table and out of the dropzone on goal difference alone, albeit part of what appears to be a pack of 10 teams all locked in a relegation battle.

Since Carvalhal's arrival at the end of December, the Swans have tasted defeat just once in six league games and are now unbeaten in their last four.

"I am happy with one point. We have lost the last seven here," he told Match of the Day. "We had a bad first half and after [the break] we corrected things. We did much better in the second half.

"We were planning to give more pace in attack with [Wilfried] Bony, but the last 10 minutes Leicester were more organised in attack, and created more noise.

"We are happy with the draw and it was a difficult game."

Next up for Swansea is a replay with Notts County in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
