West Ham United have earned a hard-fought point by holding Swansea City to a goalless draw at the Liberty Stadium.
Stewart Downing tested Michel Vorm twice inside the opening 10 minutes with a pair of firmly-struck shots as the visitors began on the front foot.
The best chance of the opening half fell to Swansea, though, as Chico Flores hit the target but was denied by Jussi Jaaskelainen, who knew little about the save.
The Hammers were forced into making an early substitution when Matt Jarvis replaced the hobbling Mark Noble before half time.
The game was being played at a slow pace and it wasn't until the 71st minute when a chance next came, with Wilfried Bony forcing Jasskelainen into a smart save.
Joe Cole had a half-chance late on but he was unable to beat Vorm as West Ham came away with an important away point.
Swansea move up a couple of places to ninth in the table while West Ham climb up to 15th.
