Robert Tesche cancels out a goal from Andre Ayew to give Nottingham Forest a 1-1 draw with Swansea City at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest have come from behind to share a 1-1 draw with Swansea City in a pre-season friendly at the City Ground.

The Premier League side were pressing from the start as Wayne Routledge crossed the ball in towards Andre Ayew, but the new signing was unable to reach it with his head.

Swansea continued to look the more likely in the opening stages as Ki Sung-yueng and Kyle Naughton both tried their luck with long-range efforts, but neither managed to force Dorus de Vries into action.

The Forest keeper was needed when Naughton got on the end of a high ball forward from Routledge, blasting the ball towards goal from 15 yards out, only to see the diving De Vries tip it clear.

Henri Lansbury had the best chance of the first half for the home side as he attempted the curl the ball in from the edge of the box, but it did not dip enough to squeeze under the crossbar.

Lansbury did get another opportunity just before the break after winning a free kick, but his attempt from 25 yards out was blocked by the wall.

Routledge and Ayew continued to form a potent partnership for Swansea at the start of the second half as the Ghana international collected the ball on the edge of the box, but could not keep his shot down.

Ayew did give the visitors the lead just before the hour mark though, cutting inside before rifling the ball in from close range.

However, it did not take Forest long to get back on level terms as Robert Tesche headed home for Forest just over 10 minutes later following a Jamie Ward cross.

Garry Monk's side had the ball in the back of the net again inside the final 20 minutes, but the goal was ruled out as Eder was adjudged to have handled in the build-up to his shot.

Eric Lichaj could have added a winner for Forest in the final few minutes as he collected the ball near the penalty spot, but could only curl his finish over.
