The away side equalised on 11 minutes through Jonathan Cristaldo, who pounced on a rebound in the area and struck home to make it 1-1.
Cristaldo had an effort from distance on 21 minutes that troubled the goalkeeper, but his shot was just kept out.
Three minutes later, Cristaldo slotted a loose ball home from inside the area to give Bologna a 2-1 lead.
Immobile had a fantastic effort on 38 minutes, but his attempt flew just wide of the mark as Torino piled on the pressure towards the end of the first half.
Torino almost made it 2-2 on 51 minutes through Alessio Cerci, but the forward's header crashed off the crossbar and went over.
Immobile threatened the Bologna defence again when he controlled a cross in the area and sent a low drive towards goal, but his shot went just wide of the post.
Minutes later, Rolando Bianchi found some space on the edge of the area and unleashed a strike towards goal, but the goalkeeper was equal to it.
Cerci had a chance late on from a free kick, but there wasn't enough pace to trouble the goalkeeper, who gathered the ball comfortably.
