Cesena came from three goals down in the final 20 minutes to secure a 3-3 draw with Hellas Verona in a thrilling Serie A match this afternoon.
It took Verona just three minutes to break the deadlock as Luca Toni arrived at the front post to touch Bosko Jankovic's cross past Nicola Leali.
Within minutes, Toni had a chance to double his tally for the afternoon, but he headed wide of the target after meeting Eros Pisano's delivery.
Verona did add to their lead just past the half-hour mark as Juanito curled a strike from the edge of the box into the top corner.
The hosts continued to dominate and Toni volleyed Jankovic's cross into the roof of the net to open up a three-goal lead.
Verona were in complete control, but Carlos Carbonero pulled a goal back for Cesena in the 70th minute with a powerful strike that flew into the top corner.
Their hopes of a comeback increased further seven minutes later when Franco Brienza curled in a free kick that left Francesco Benussi with no chance.
Cesena then scored for the third time in 11 minutes as Davide Succi latched onto Brienza's pass and rolled a strike into the bottom corner to earn his side a valuable point in their battle against relegation.
