Vitesse recorded a comfortable 3-0 home win over Dordrecht this evening to condemn their opponents to at least the Eredivisie relegation playoff places.
Valeri Kazaishvili scored a quickfire double after the interval to help Vitesse extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches and leave bottom-of-the-table Dordrecht with a near-impossible task if they are to avoid the drop.
The hosts could not make their first-half dominance count on the scoresheet as Bertrand Traore and Zakaria Labyad missed the best of their chances.
They quickly took the lead in the second period, however, as Kazaishvili netted his first goal of the season following a pass from Marko Vejinovic.
In-form Chelsea loanee Traore supplied Kazaishvili with his second on 65 minutes, and another Stamford Bridge export, Josh McEachran, had a role to play in securing the victory as he released Renato Ibarra for Vitesse's third three minutes later.
One win from their remaining four matches for Go Ahead Eagles will ensure that Dordrecht are relegated.
