The visitors went ahead after 27 minutes when James Morrison found the target, but Gareth Bale turned on the style for the Dragons in the second half. The Tottenham winger earned a penalty and successfully converted it in the 80th minute before firing in an unstoppable shot from outside the area in the 89th minute for the winner.

63minsWales are looking downbeat the moment as well as unimaginative. Bale has gone quiet in the last few minutes. They need to pick themselves up quickly if they want to stage a comeback against Scotland.

61minsHutton again delivers an inviting cross from the right flank, aiming for Fletcher. However, Wales clear away the danger with ease.
60minsHalf an hour left in this match, half an hour left for Wales to pick up their first point of the qualifying campaign. If they lose, then it will be Chris Coleman?s sixth defeat in a row as the Dragons coach.

50minsScotland fail to create anything productive from the corner, though...
49minsWHAT A CHANCE! Charlie Adam releases Alan Hutton down the right flank and he delivers in a sensational cross that Price tips out for a corner.

HTChris Coleman will not be happy with the way his team defended for the goal, as he stares at his sixth successive defeat as the Wales coach. Steve Fletcher has looked brilliant so far for Scotland - probably the best player on the pitch at the Cardiff City Stadium.
HTIt is half-time at the Cardiff City Stadium, and it is Scotland who are in the lead. A James Morrison strike in the 27th minute has given the visitors the advantage in this Group A encounter. Wales have had chances, with Gareth Bale looking especially dangerous down the right flank, but the Dragons have failed to capitalise on them.

24minsScotland were caught out there for a moment. That was the best chance either side have had had so far.
23minsCHANCE! Joe Allen steals the ball inside his own half, passes it to Aaron Ramsey, who then gives it back to his Wales teammate on the edge of the Scotland penalty area. However, Allen?s attempt on the Scotland goal is blocked twice. Goalless it remains at the Cardiff City Stadium.

17minsFreekick to Scotland in a very dangerous position. Can they capitalise on this...?
15mins15 minutes gone in this match, and it is goalless. Wales have had the chances so far, but Scotland are not going to give it up just yet.
12minsWales are looking very positive now, as they are taking the game to the Scottish. Bale has looked very enthusiastic so far.
11minsAnother good chance for Wales there. Bale gets in behind Fox on the right and cuts in on his left foot. Berra tries to close him, before he unleashes a shot that goes inches wide of the Scotland goal.
6minsBale shoots from 25 yards but his effort is offtarget. Bale will be a dangerman for Wales this evening.

1minAnd here we kick off proceedings with Scotland...

7.30pmWe are just 15 minutes away from kickoff at the Cardiff City Stadium...
7.30pmWe are just 15 minutes away from kickoff in Cardiff...
7.26pmChris Coleman: "The players know we let our country down, big style. But the players we have are a good set - a little bit quiet, but we have a lot of young boys. They are good guys, they want to do well and we can do a lot better than we did against Serbia. We have put more pressure on ourselves for the Scotland game because of the nature of the defeat against Serbia, but maybe that is a good thing because it has made me make some big decisions, and all the players are in a corner where there is only one way they can go - if you are stuck in a corner, you have to fight your way out."
Craig Levein: "These guys we have play in the biggest leagues in the world every week in front of TV audiences of millions and they cope with it. I don't think there is going to be any worry at all in our team about being able to handle the pressure."

7.25The game kicks off at 7.45pm, and now let us go through what the two managers had to say in their pre-match press conferences...
7.20pmFor Wales, this is Ashley Williams?s first match as the captain, while his predecessor Aaron Ramsey starts in midfield. He is joined in the middle of the park by Joe Allen, Joe Ledley and Gareth Bale. Steve Morison is the lone striker upfront for the Dragons.
7.17pmSo the big teams for Scotland is that both Darren Fletcher and Steven Fletcher start tonight. The former has recently recovered from a chronic bowel condition, while the latter has reconciled with coach Craig Levein.
7.15pmThe team news is finally out and here is how the two teams will line up tonight.
Wales: Price; Gunter, Davies, Vaughan, Blake, Williams; Allen, Ledley, Morison, Ramsey; Bale
Scotland: McGregor; Hutton, Berra, Caldwell, Fox; Brown, Fletcher, Commons, Maloney; Morrison, Fletcher
Wales: Price; Gunter, Davies, Vaughan, Blake, Williams; Allen, Ledley, Morison, Ramsey; Bale
Scotland: McGregor; Hutton, Berra, Caldwell, Fox; Brown, Fletcher, Commons, Maloney; Morrison, Fletcher
7.13pmThe game tonight will also evoke some dark memories. On September 10, 1985 following Scotland?s 1-1 draw with Wales at Cardiff?s Ninian Park, Jock Stein suffered a heart attack and passed away in the stadium?s medical room. That draw saw Scotland secure a playoff against Australia that would eventually lead them to qualification to the 1986 World Cup finals.
7.11pmOn the other hand, Scotland are fourth in Group A with two points from as many matches. Craig Levein?s side drew 0-0 with Serbia at Glasgow?s Hampden Park and then played out a 1-1 draw with Macedonia at the same venue in September.
7.10pmHeading into the match, Wales find themselves at the bottom of the group, having failed to register a single point in their opening two games. The Dragons went down 2-0 to Belgium at home before being thrashed 6-1 at Serbia last month.
7.08pmHello and welcome to Sportsmole?s live coverage of the 2014 World Cup qualifier between Wales and Scotland tonight. This is a Group A fixture that will be held at the Cardiff City Stadium, and you can follow all the action live here.
